Thommen Medical

Swiss Implantology

For the Swiss implantology manufacturer Thommen Medical, I developed high-precision 3D visuals and animations to communicate advanced implant procedures with clarity and confidence.

The goal was twofold: to support dental professionals with technically accurate visual material — and to help patients understand complex surgical procedures in a transparent, accessible way.

Working in the field of implantology requires absolute accuracy. Every millimeter matters. Every surface, thread and connection detail has clinical relevance.

For this project, implant systems and components were reconstructed in 3D with meticulous attention to proportion, material behavior and mechanical precision. Surfaces, titanium finishes and micro-structures were developed to reflect the engineering quality that defines Swiss medical manufacturing.

The animations were designed to do more than just “show” products. They explain procedures step by step:

  • Implant placement in the jawbone

  • Osseointegration processes

  • Abutment positioning

  • Final prosthetic restoration

Complex surgical workflows were translated into clear, structured visual narratives. The pacing, camera movement and lighting were intentionally controlled to guide the viewer’s focus — whether that viewer is a trained implantologist or a patient encountering the procedure for the first time.

For dental professionals, the visuals serve as presentation tools for training, congresses and product communication.
For patients, the animations act as educational support material, reducing uncertainty and building trust through visual transparency.

The result is not just a set of renderings — but a visual communication system that bridges engineering precision, clinical expertise and human understanding.
